Chiropractic

chiropractic adjustments are used to help patients restore range of motion and functions of the spinal joints. There are many chiropractic adjusting techniques, all of which are valid, which range from high speed manipulations, to gentle guided motions, to low force precision instrument adjusting.

Pro-ArthroStim®

Pro-Arthrostim is a type of instrument that is gentle and specific. It is an integral component of many somatic techniques. The Pro-Arthrostim is designed to produce a rapid succession of high velocity, controlled-force thrusts. At ChiroPath Spine & Posture Centre, the doctor recognizes that your care is not about them or their preference of technique. Your care is about your health, your comfort and your preference. At ChiroPath, the doctor and staff always put your needs first.

Neuro Muscular Re-education

Discovering that “Better than 90% of the energy output of the brain is used in relating the physical body to the gravitational field around it…” earned Roger Sperry the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine.

He also taught us that “the more mechanically distorted a person is the less energy is available for thinking, healing, metabolism and all other physiologic processes.”

As we retrain your muscles to hold you in a healthier upright position, the rejuvenating programs at ChiroPath literally free up brain power to be used elsewhere.

Disc Decompression Therapy

Our non-surgical spinal disc decompression is nothing short of cutting edge. Our advanced technology utilizes a traction force which gently separates spinal segments and takes pressure off of bulging or herniated spinal discs.

Spinal Traction Therapy

Spinal remodeling therapies gently apply an assisted stretch to chronically constricted spinal ligaments. This allows them to return to their natural length and for the spine to resume a normal healthy shape. These therapies allow us to improve conditions that had previously been thought to be irreversible, like scoliosis.

Power Plate Training

When training or rehabbing the body, one must apply a force to the body for it to resist, this is what encourages growth and strength.

All “old school” training methods consist of applying a greater load to the body… ie weights, medicine balls and/or resistance bands etc. The application of more weight (or mass) increases the force applied to the body which in turn responds by increasing muscle mass and bone mineral density in order to better resist the force.

To refresh our memories… Newton’s second law states that Force = Mass x Acceleration.

PowerPlate™ platforms oscillate between 25 and 50 times per second transmitting waves of accelerated energy at therapeutic frequencies throughout the body. While standing on a PowerPlate™ one is almost imperceptibly moving in all three planes of motion (up/down, forward/backward and left/right) at incredible rates of acceleration.

These gentle and relaxing waves of energy trigger 25-50 muscle reflexes per second, enhancing any exercise performed on the plate and minimizing the risk of injury. The result… incredible force and amazing improvement in strength, flexibility, and agility achieved in a fast, safe and extremely enjoyable way!
